50,000 SHOES (Soles4Souls)
Posted on: April 3, 2009
Are you wearing shoes? Then listen up! We’re on a mission: 50,000 shoes in 50 days. We can’t do it without the help of you and your friends! Check out this video to find out how we can work together to supply the poverty stricken countries of our planet with shoes, a simple luxury we take for granted here in America. Times are rough, the economy is bad. But consider this… even the homeless in America are considered wealthy to the average person in the countries we’re reaching out to during these next 50 days. So what are you waiting for? Click play and find out how you can participate!

Noble work! I’ll spam my friends with the videos.

Why not just donate 5 dollars, 4 separate times instead of $20 dollars at once. 8 pairs of shoes donated rather than 5. Or, donate 5 dollars, twice, and have 4 pairs sent rather than getting a pair for yourself…

By all means, feel free to do that Carl! The idea of the packages is to create incentive for people who wouldn’t typically get involved, to get involved. We’re trying to make a big splash! Good question – thanks for asking.

Coolness! Hmmmm…now about which package I should chose….
btw I hope something good comes out of that trip to LA

Looking at the numbers after only two days, it should be renamed 50,000 shoes in 5 days–or 500,000 shoes in 50 days.

Great idea Julian! This is a great organization, and an awesome way to give to the less fortunate. Plus, I can’t wait for that sweet DVD! Pretty soon I’ll be watching the Kidnapped series every night before I go to bed. lol
Awesome work man!

Well, it was the first time ever I donated to charity and it feld GOOD.
I took the 20 dollar pack so I got a pair to give away to someone near me who can use them more then me.
And the dvd will be used to gather new fan’s for the AWESOME JULIAN SMITH.
Thanx man and keep entertaining..

Great work. Will look into donating.
I tried posting the link to my facebook page, but the link didn’t show the thumb nail of the video. Not sure why. It just showed the funny characters you have to retype when you have to verify that you’re a human. Weird.

Man, we are still far from target.. 1,604 pairs of shoes with 18 days left… I think we should do something about this… Mass spamming on facebook? I’ve tried that… maybe a chain note just like “25 random things” note? I’ll give that a try, should spread out easier than personal link invite
