L.A. or Bust! (Day 3)

The alarm clock on my phone seemed much louder this morning. Probably because I’m not getting as much sleep as I need to be getting. All this driving is wearing me out. I rolled out of my bed and walked over to wake up Jhason. “How you feeling, bud?” Jhason rolled over, looked around for a second and mumbled in a drowsy, monotone voice “Good.” I can only imagine how crappy it must have been for him being sick while packed into the jeep like a sardine. I’m glad he’s feeling better now. We got in the car and he drove – he’s doing his fair share of it to make up for his time off.

We didn’t have as much time in Vegas as we hoped to. But we were able to stop off the interstate and walk around for a little bit. I showed showed Jhason around the Bellagio, where they filmed several scenes from Oceans 11. He and I both like that movie a lot so he enjoyed seeing it in person. After that I took Jhason to get his first In-N-Out Buger (which he loved) and since I’m such a GREAT blogger, I FORGOT to take pictures! I rule. It would have been a crazy picture at In-N-Out too – there were SO MANY PEOPLE there. It took us a good half an hour to get our food (putting us significantly behind on our schedule) and we practically had to be vultures to get a seat. One of the busiest trips to In-N-Out I’ve ever experienced.

It took us 3 extra hours to get to Los Angeles because of the weekend traffic from Vegas. Everyone was heading home from the Casinos and we got caught right in the middle of it! When we rolled in, Jhason and I met up with my girlfriend, Sarah and went to dinner and then to Pinkberry! Jhason had never been to Pinkberry since they only have them in California and NYC but he LOVED it. If you’ve never had Pinkberry, you should try it the next chance you get.

I was so excited to finally be in L.A. and off the road that I kept forgetting to take pictures through the night. But Jhason and I did manage to take one last sweet panorama on Mulholland Dr. (the famous wide shot of L.A. from Spielberg’s, E.T.)!
Personally, this is my favorite panorama of the entire trip – which one was your fav? Thanks for following us along the road! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. I’ll be moving into my apartment next week and I’ll be sure to post pictures as soon as it’s ready to be seen!
Also… I have several new YouTube sketches coming soon so keep an eye out for those!

Dude, for some reason, im getting this vibe that your a Christian. Just wondering, cause you videos are all super clean, and in the hot kool-aid behind the scenes video, there’s all the fruits of the spirit on the wall. Which I’m guessing that house is your parents. Just wondering…

Is the LA panorama a long exposure? I’m assuming so, with the plane traffic in the upper left and what I’m assuming is jeep headlights to light u…but not sure. Where on Mulholland is it?
Welcome back to Los Angeles! From one midwestern to another…it’s nice to know there’s another down to earth, talented, mid-western guy in town ready to kick some butt and take some names.

I’d have to agree and say that the last panorama is the best, simply because of the lovely night lights…my other fave is the one of you driving in your car. Not sure why.
Good luck in L.A., Julian!

Yeah what is a Pinkberry?
Is that a soda, (pop from where I’m from)
a smoothie or a alcoholic drink? Or is it a place to go to? I’m very curious about this pinkberry thing, it sounds like a drink to me.
I’m Glad to see you got there in one piece and safely to boot, love the pics and I can’t wait to see what you will be talking about next.

Welcome to L.A. Julian! Try ordering your In-N-Out burger ‘Animal Style’ next time. Also, check out Cherry on Top…much better than Pink Berry, personally. Oh, and if the ground start to shake a little, just head for the inside of a door way and not an elevator

Wow! I am glad you guys made it out here safely. The last panorama is in a tie with the first one lol. All of the pics have been great though. In-N-Out is supreme and reigns over all other fast food restaurants haha. I am glad he liked it. And thanks for inviting us to follow you on your trip. I have enjoyed it.

Glad to see you made it in safely and had an amazing time on your way. That last shot is indeed AWESOME. Man I do miss LA a lot, only one month there and it’s like a permanent mark on me. I can’t wait to visit there sometime in the next year! Good luck!!

Julian, I now know you have the best taste in the universe, 1) because In-N-Out is sweet and 2) because PINKBERRY ROCKS! Greatest yogurt place evah.
Stay cool, man. Can’t wait to see you on TV.
