Purple Bumblebee/Jamboree MP3
Posted on: September 9, 20106 comments so far (is that a lot?)
Ever since I released Brag Call, I’ve received hundreds, if not thousands of inquiries about the “Purple Bumblebee Song”, as most of you are calling it. The song is actually called Jamboree and it’s from an OLD comedy album I made 6+ years ago called Smebel. Because the song is so old I’m not keen on the idea of it being completely open to the public, so I’m not going to make it available on iTunes or anything like that. I am, however, going to make it available for you here on my blog… but only because you guys asked for it.
I always enjoy hearing from you guys and I’m impressed by your persistence in trying to get your hands on the mp3! As you listen to it, imagine a 16 year old version of me rapping the lyrics. Enjoy!
“Malk” Live on Stage
Posted on: September 6, 201025 comments so far (is that a lot?)
Every week you guys send me remake after remake of my sketches – and I try to watch all of them! Out of the ones I have seen, this one might just take the cake.
It could be that this live reenactment of Malk holds a special place in my heart simply because you can hear the audience’s reactions – something I don’t usually get to experience in this medium of storytelling. And although it’s beyond gratifying seeing something I made get hundreds of thousands of views, there’s something special about actually hearing laughter.
I used to make videos that were shown in live settings all the time. I was even on staff at a large church in Nashville at one point, creating little videos that went along with the pastor’s messages and whatnot. It was a huge learning experience for me – being able to create something and show it in a room full of thousands of people. There’s no better way to learn in my opinion. You find out very quickly what works and what doesn’t. I had forgotten how important this is, but this video reminded me. Bravo guys!
I’m a Walnut

Just wanted to write a quick post to tell you guys that I’m in the new Annoying Orange episode! I play a walnut. If you haven’t heard of Annoying Orange, you must be living under a rock – it’s one of the most popular internet series’ right now, with more than 250 million video views so far. You can check out the new episode that I’m in by clicking here. Dane (the creator of Annoying Orange) and I have been trying to get me in an episode for months but we’re both so scatter-brained that it took us all this time to nail each other down. Dane’s a talented guy, and it was great working with him.
You haven’t seen any blog posts from me lately because there is so much going on. Unfortunately I can’t really talk about any of it at the moment but I’m hoping to have an update for you all very soon. It’s been a very exciting/busy/stressful past few months but it looks it’s all going to pay off. More soon.
PS: You’re going to love my next sketch. I’m working on it now and it’s coming out a week from this Monday. All I’m going to say is “King Arthur”.
Here We Go

Alright, this is it! I’m sitting in LAX right now waiting to board my flight to Nashville. I’ve been preparing for this trip all month – I’ll be there for two weeks shooting a bunch of sketches and I’m really excited about it. It’s gonna be a lot of fun! I’m also really looking forward to seeing my family and friends.
A lot of you have been asking why I haven’t uploaded anything new recently, now you know why! I should be uploading something in the next week, so hold your horses
I’ll keep you guys posted on what’s going both here and on my vlog channel so stay tuned!
Vidcon 2010
Posted on: July 8, 201014 comments so far (is that a lot?)
I’ve been getting a lot of questions about whether or not I’ll be attending Vidcon this weekend.
The short answer is: No, I will not.
There is so much going on right now! These last two weeks I’ve been writing non-stop, gearing up for my trip to Nashville where I’ll be shooting a bunch of new sketches. My last week here in LA will also be filled with a lot of shooting that needs to be done before I can go. I’m sure Vidcon is going to be awesome and I’m sorry I have to miss it – maybe next year!
I will, however, be at Rhett & Link’s and Mystery Guitar Man’s meet up tomorrow (Friday) around 5:00. All the info on where and when that is can be found on the program at vidcon2010.com. I’ll be there for an hour or so, so if you want to come say hi that’ll be the time do it! Hope to see you guys there!
Why am I still awake?

I’m not really sure either.
Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about blogging – why I don’t do it more, specifically. I really enjoy it when I do it! I’ve decided to make room for my blog posts here on the homepage of my site, in hopes that it will force me to write more.
There’s been so much going on lately and it isn’t gonna be slowing down any time soon. I’m going to Nashville in a couple weeks to shoot a ton of sketches so I’ve been in a writing frenzy trying to finish these scripts before I go. There really hasn’t been time for anything else. I was pleasantly surprised when I actually got Urine This Together online last week.
I’m going to be doing some shooting this week with a few (unnamed) YouTubers that are in town for Vidcon – that will be a breath of fresh air. It’ll be nice to take a break from writing and go outside for a change. Outside? What’s that?
I refuse to ramble. Especially this late at night. I probably won’t even remember this in the morning. Maybe you guys should remind me so I can come back here and delete this.
I’m going to bed. You should too. Let’s go to bed.
Goodnight.
Family Guy: Cool Whip
Posted on: December 5, 200956 comments so far (is that a lot?)
Recently, I’ve received some heated comments about my latest sketch, Malk. Comments claiming I was stealing an idea from Family Guy’s Cool Whip episode. Since I’m not a big TV watcher (I don’t even have basic cable) I never really got into Family Guy, so I decided to see what all the fuss was about for myself. I just finished watching the episode online about 15 minutes ago and I must admit, I was shocked! There’s an exchange of lines between two characters in the scene that is almost identical to one in Malk. See for yourself by clicking here (watch 1:14-1:17).
I work hard to create original content and would never steal an idea, let alone an idea from a show as huge as Family Guy! I’d have to be a complete idiot to do that. That being said, I apologize to all the Family Guy fans and I assure you all, it was merely coincidence. If you have any comments/questions I hope you’ll leave them below! I love hearing from you guys!

“Watch Smash Cuts” Music Video
Posted on: September 29, 20093 comments so far (is that a lot?)
For those of you who haven’t seen it yet, I made a music video for a rap song that I wrote with my friend and fellow SmashCuts cast member, Joe Hanson (AKA: BinoWhite). He’s been making an original rap every week for 49 weeks in a row and is about to break the current world record of 52 consecutive weeks (set by Crooked I). He asked me if I’d be interested in collaborating on his week 49 rap, and we all know I never turn down a chance to throw down some ill rhymes
The rap is called “Watch Smash Cuts” and I don’t think it needs anymore setup than that. Check it!
L.A. or Bust! (Day 3)

The alarm clock on my phone seemed much louder this morning. Probably because I’m not getting as much sleep as I need to be getting. All this driving is wearing me out. I rolled out of my bed and walked over to wake up Jhason. “How you feeling, bud?” Jhason rolled over, looked around for a second and mumbled in a drowsy, monotone voice “Good.” I can only imagine how crappy it must have been for him being sick while packed into the jeep like a sardine. I’m glad he’s feeling better now. We got in the car and he drove – he’s doing his fair share of it to make up for his time off.

We didn’t have as much time in Vegas as we hoped to. But we were able to stop off the interstate and walk around for a little bit. I showed showed Jhason around the Bellagio, where they filmed several scenes from Oceans 11. He and I both like that movie a lot so he enjoyed seeing it in person. After that I took Jhason to get his first In-N-Out Buger (which he loved) and since I’m such a GREAT blogger, I FORGOT to take pictures! I rule. It would have been a crazy picture at In-N-Out too – there were SO MANY PEOPLE there. It took us a good half an hour to get our food (putting us significantly behind on our schedule) and we practically had to be vultures to get a seat. One of the busiest trips to In-N-Out I’ve ever experienced.

It took us 3 extra hours to get to Los Angeles because of the weekend traffic from Vegas. Everyone was heading home from the Casinos and we got caught right in the middle of it! When we rolled in, Jhason and I met up with my girlfriend, Sarah and went to dinner and then to Pinkberry! Jhason had never been to Pinkberry since they only have them in California and NYC but he LOVED it. If you’ve never had Pinkberry, you should try it the next chance you get.

I was so excited to finally be in L.A. and off the road that I kept forgetting to take pictures through the night. But Jhason and I did manage to take one last sweet panorama on Mulholland Dr. (the famous wide shot of L.A. from Spielberg’s, E.T.)!
Personally, this is my favorite panorama of the entire trip – which one was your fav? Thanks for following us along the road! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. I’ll be moving into my apartment next week and I’ll be sure to post pictures as soon as it’s ready to be seen!
Also… I have several new YouTube sketches coming soon so keep an eye out for those!

Sorry I haven’t been posting! I’ve had VERY limited internet access.

When we woke up today Jhason was feeling worse so I drove again for the majority of the day. We got on the road and drove for what seemed like days through the remainder of Kansas. Saw a little rain, but for the most part it was a nice, cool day. Every time I make this drive, I forget how long and grueling the midwest is. Not because it isn’t pretty, it’s just that everything is so flat it feels like you’re not going anywhere! No, there wasn’t too much goin’ on in Kansas – the most excitement we had was seeing a jug of “chicken poop” inside Walgreens (see below)…
We pulled over and got Jhason some Sprite and crackers, which is supposed to help an uneasy stomach. I felt so bad for him being stuck in a car feeling so sick. He started feeling better after we got some lunch. Lets hope he gets better soon so he can enjoy the rest of the drive!
C o l o r a d o | (Sept. 12 2009)
Colorado is the most beautiful place in the country, second only to Northern California, if you ask me. This was, and always is the coolest part of the drive to California (if you take I-70)! Jhason had never been this far west so he was snapping pictures like crazy and kept mentioning how small the landscape made him feel. He’s right! If you’ve never been to Colorado, you should just take a long weekend and see it. It’s indescribable! The Grand Canyon is pretty cool too, even though we didn’t have time to see it this time through. Jhason and I took lots of panoramas, as you can tell. It kind of became the theme for the trip. I’m going to make HUGE prints of these and hang them up in my apartment in L.A.!
Now, I’ve driven through the Rocky Mountains before, but never with an SUV packed so tightly that your rear view mirror is pointless… not to mention the massive luggage rack connected to our hitch. There were places in the mountains where I couldn’t go faster than 45mph because the grades were so steep and there was so much weight in the car. My poor jeep was trying so hard! It was ridiculous how quickly we burned through gas that day. You could literally almost watch as the needle on the gas gauge slowly fell.
There’s a stretch of land in the Colorado mountains where there’s literally no gas for almost a couple hundred miles. You have to make sure when you’re making this drive that you don’t forget to fill up your gas tank before you enter this no-man’s-land. I almost ran out of gas when I made this drive a few years back. It can be pretty nerve racking but we made it through just fine.

Jhason and I drove through Utah at night so we didn’t get any good pictures. The southern half of Utah is pretty much desolate anyways. We had a hotel reservation in Richfield, (a little town about 5 hours from Vegas) but when we arrived we weren’t tired at all so we drove to St. George, which is much closer. We wanted to be able to spend some time in Vegas the next day since Jhason had never been before. We arrived at our hotel at 1:15 am, and hit the sack hard.
L.A. or Bust! (Day 1)

One thing you may not know about me is that I LOVE driving – road trips especially. In the past few years I’ve driven through almost every state and have made the Nashville to Los Angeles drive 3 times (this time will be my 4th). I was excited to find out I was going to get to make the drive again this year because originally, my dad was going to drive my car and my things out to me. But when that plan fell through I flew back to Nashville, and now my brother, Jhason and I are driving out to L.A. together. You can keep up with us on the road by checking back here every night (or morning – depending on how long it takes me to write these posts).
M I S S O U R I
We left Nashville this morning at 6:00 AM – Jhason drove so I could do some editing. We made our first stop in St. Louis, MO at noon and had lunch with our cousin Matt (Robert in Laquisha is Ghetto), who recently moved to St. Louis for school. It was funny because I didn’t tell Jhason that Matt was going to be there so when we walked in and he was sitting there it caught him completely off guard!
K A N S A S
In Kansas City, KS we met up with Jhason’s friend Cory (the long, curly, brown haired dude in Get Your Own iPhone: Party) for a cup of coffee at Starbucks. It was a nice break from the road – the midwest is a boring drive and Jhason wasn’t feeling well so I had to do the bulk of the driving myself while he slept. I don’t know which I’d rather be stuck with – nausea, or driving through Missouri and Kansas alone. Needless to say, I was happy to get out of the car for that coffee. I had a delicious Peppermint White Mocha (my Starbucks fav). When we got back on the road, Jhason attempted to drive but immediately started feeling nauseous so I took over again. I drove (nodding off) the whole way to a little town called Hays, KS. We rolled in a little after midnight and stayed for the night. What a tiny place! I should’ve taken a picture of it for you all but I was exhausted… as you can tell in the last picture below
There wasn’t too much excitement today – but be sure and check back Sunday night (it may be Monday morning if we get behind schedule). We’ll be hanging in Denver and Vegas so it should be a bit more exciting! L.A. or Bust!
